You sit, close your eyes and repeat a silent mantra for 20 minutes. This allows the mind and body to relax. As you relax, stresses that have been locked in the body for days, months or even years are released.

meditation reduces anxiety, increases empathy and allows you to access clearer and more creative thoughts.

While there are many apps and online videos, the best way to learn if you want to create a regular practice is in person. The number one reason people quit meditating is because they're not sure they're doing it right. With face to face learning you'll gain the confidence of knowing you're doing it right and the time you're investing isn't being wasted.
